THE FOXDENTON WANDERERS WALKING GROUP
Meets weekly at 12.15pm every Thursday at Lydia’s Tearoom Community Cafe
Just turn up and join us.
A typical walk lasts for about one hour starting and finishing at Lydia’s Tearoom. You don’t need to be an experience walker. There is no fast walking or hiking involved. Just come along and enjoy the fresh air, benefit from some gentle exercise and enjoy the company of fellow walkers.
The Foxdenton Wanderers walking group is hosted by Chadderton Together who are a registered charity involved in many Chadderton based projects and events.
Walking is brilliant!
Walking is good for you because:
• It makes you feel good
• Exercise helps you to manage your weight
• It gives you more energy
• It reduces stress
• It keeps your heart strong and reduces blood pressure
Just thirty minutes walking each day is all it takes to make a difference. You can build up your walking ability over time. Start with say fifteen minutes of moderate activity and slowly build up your walking time. That’s all it takes to make a difference. The most important thing is to start where you’re comfortable and then build up gradually.
